Nominations open on – Monday 27th May 2017. 12pm.

Nominations close on – Friday 28th July 2017. 5pm.

27 Awards

The first 10 categories 2 awards will be allocated for each one. The recipients are for both male and female winners.

For category 11, 3 Awards will be awarded. Finally, category 12, 4 awards will be awarded.  

The Queensland Awards Pacific Panel (QAPP)

Panel members are selected by the Expocific Group Inc. team. The Panel is made up of a representative from each of the main Pacific Island groups. They also will have experience in both community and those industries specified under the Awards Categories.   

The primary task of the Panel is to select the final winners of each Category. They will follow its own process with clear rules and regulations surrounding their duties and to delivery its deliberations with due respect to process and its fellow members.

With regards to the Expocific Creative Arts & Innovation Awards, 2 youth awards will be selected by the Expocific Group Inc and its members.

Winners of each of the categories will be notified by the chairperson of the Panel via email during the end of August and first week of September 2017.

Celebrating Pacific, Maori and First Nations People’s Achievement

 

Expocific Group Inc.

Expocific Group Inc. is a non- for profit organisation. Its core vision is about:

Celebrating our Pacific culture and bringing people together through the Creative Arts.

Mission statement:

Transforming our Pacific communities through the Creative Arts and Innovation, at the same time offering support and motivation to our youth to discover their God given gifts.

On Saturday 18th of February 2017 Expocific Group launched its new platform in the Creative Arts at the Queensland Multicultural Arts Centre, here our Creative Artists and Innovators came to showcase their creativity. The Expocific platform is an Expo to be held annually, a place where Pacific Fashion designers, Artists, Filmmakers, Entrepreneurs, Cultural groups, and Musicians gather to celebrate with our wider community our Pacific culture and rich Heritage.

The Expocific Cultural Leadership Programme

Expocific will also be introducing a new programme aimed at our young people. The programme is called- The Expocific Cultural Leadership Programme (ECLP). With its core focus the programme is designed to inspire our young people to aim high. To take their talent and abilities to its full potential.

 

The Queensland Pacific Awards.   

One of the most important projects Expocific is planning is the Inaugural Queensland Pacific Awards set for Wednesday 27th September 2017. The Awards is a celebration of our people and their contribution to the state of Queensland across all industries. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge and remember the work of our pioneers who paved the way for our people today. The ceremony is a celebration of Pacific, Maori and First Nation’s people’s achievement.  

For the first time in the history Queensland comes an event that will capture the hearts of our people and inspire the next generation that if you have a passion in life and you are willing to work hard you can achieve anything.
